Pocket Theology

Key Values

New Wine Training Partnership Values

The following values lay the foundation for all we are doing:

  1. Content needs to integrate biblical theology and life in the Spirit - head, heart, hands and feet - in worship and prayer.
  2. Delivery should take place in the context of discipleship, leadership, ministry & mission; in the local church.
  3. We learn to minister in the gifts & power of the Spirit as an apprentice; seeing Jesus' supernatural ministry modelled.
  4. Training needs to be both practically challenging in its focus on personal growth & transformation, and academically robust - and therefore accreditable.
  5. We are called to bless what God is already doing in local churches; recognising the beauty and Kingdom necessity of a diversity of training across the country.
  6. Together Everybody Achieves More. We are called to work together; releasing resources, striving for excellence and creating new opportunities through economies of scale.
  7. Training needs to be both for "church" leadership (in the traditional sense of "church") and for discipleship, leadership and mission in the "life-place" (in industry, in enterprise, in the p/Political sphere, in the arts, education ...).
  8. Theological educators and local church leaders need to work in partnership to discover together both the truth and what works.
  9. Christ-like relationships between individuals and between organisations are critical to the flourishing of the Church in all its endeavours and to the growth of the Kingdom.
  10. The Church flourishes through partnership; between small and big, established and pioneering, suburban, rural and UPA, national organisations and local churches.
